The first, a Paul Oesten (German, 1874-1936), bronze titled
Erblich Belastet depicting a young faun grabbing his tale, mounted to a marble pedestal base with a gallery plaque affixed to the edge, signed and marked "Akt. Ges. v. H Cladenbek. u. Sohn" (11 in.); the second, after Nicholas Lecorney (French, fl. 1880-1885), sculpture of a young boy lifting a dumbbell, affixed to a round marble base, signed at base (12 in.).
From the Collection of Professor Roberto Severino, Washington, D.C. The faun with chipping to base, light verdigris at the foot; the young boy with some degradation to the face .
