Circa 500 B.C., the tondo of this two-handled drinking cup shows a youth placing a kantharos with a libation on an altar to his right, the entire scene being presented within a circular meander border; the underside has a register of six running nude hoplite warriors wearing open-faced Attic or Chalcidian helmets and carrying shields.

Bowl 9 in. diameter; Overall 12 in.
