Possibly from a Continental Grand Tour, 19th century, the first shows the Cumaean Sibyl after the original by Domenico Zampieri (DOA 10.25 x 9.75 in.); the second one is after an unknown work and likely depicts Lucretia's suicide following her rape by the Etruscan king's son (DOA 9.75 x 9.25 in.). Both works are presented in period gilt and gesso frames, one of which retains a partial label imprinted by Earles' Galleries, Philadelphia.
