Circa 1800-1810, mahogany, mahogany veneers, white pine secondary, hinged lid having a triple line inlay to edge and having a single gate leg, top board with beveled edge, bow front with highly veneered skirt and central rectangular frieze, squared tapered legs with bellflower and line inlay.

29 3/8 x 35.5 x 17 in.

By direct descent from the Cudworth family, Scituate/Norwell Massachusetts. The family home, which is now the home of the Scituate historical society, was once the home of the grandson of Gen. James Cudworth. Passed by direct descent to the Nesbitt, Gile and finally to the Pratt family.

Repair and eight inch patch to interior section of right rear leg; repair to front right leg.
