Circa 1830s, cherry and poplar with original red wash, yellow pine and poplar secondary wood, original dovetailed and scrolled backsplash, central bow front, three side by side cock bead drawers, divided by reeded styles, four lower hinged doors, the outside with inset panel, raised on turned feet, paneled sides.

Purchased from a collection of deaccessioned property from a South Carolina institution. Bush Family of Alberston, NC. descended from Grandfather, to Harold Lee Bush, father of Dr. Jane Bush Fagg, a noted historian and professor in North Carolina. Remained in her husband's family in Albertson, NC., ancestral home, "Waterloo," until her death until 2010.

Original surface, inscription to back boards reading "This work was maid for Saull? Dattin? / S. Davis / John Kiney? Sept. 32, 1832 / Sept 24, 183?"

Three board top with slight separation and warp; slight warp to lower panel doors; surface crazing to original wash; overall original condition and expected wear and use.
