Lisa Egeli hails from the great art dynasty that is the Egeli family. Beginning with the renowned portraitist Bjorn Egeli, founder of the Maryland Society of Portrait Painters, numerous members of the family have become successful artists.

Ms. Egeli has garnered many accolades, including being named one of "Today's Masters" by Fine Art Connoisseur Magazine. She is a Fellow of the American Society of Marine Artists, a Signature Member of Oil Painters of America, an Associate Member of the Society of Animal Artists, a member of the Washington Society of Landscape Painters, and an Artist Member of Mid-Atlantic Plein Air Painters Association.

Ms. Egeli describes this painting as follows:
"While crowds of people rush past the pine hummocks on their way to the beach, the ponies of the Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge slowly and peacefully graze their way across the horizon among egrets, herons, bushes and tall grasses. I have painted this view on location many times and finally decided to capture the scope of it with a large studio piece."

No apparent condition concerns.
