Known for his assemblages, Thornton Dial is most prolifically a draftsman. In 2012, the Ackland Art Museum at UNC-CH mounted an exhibition of his works on paper from 1990-1991. The present work is a wonderful example of his coloration and the strong sense of movement present in Dial's drawings.
