Lot 593
Royal Worcester "Corn Dolly" China Service for Eight
Lot Details & Additional Photographs
To include: (8) dinner plates (10.5 in.); (8) salad plates; (8) bread & butter plates; (8) cups and matching saucers; a covered vegetable; an open creamer; a covered sugar; an oval form open serving dish; and an underplate for a total of (45) pieces.

The term "dolly'' is derived from the word "idol" and its use stems from the days when an offering to the goddess of fertility was fashioned from the corn shocks remaining in the field after harvest. The Royal Worcester pattern was designed in 1962 by Jane Nicholson.

No apparent condition concerns. The underplate was likely associated with a sauce boat.
