Late 18th century, Mecklenburg County, walnut with yellow pine secondary, yellow pine backboard, the hood with swans neck pediment terminating in carved rosettes, glass enclosed metal face painted with a bluebird and floral sprays, apertures for time and chime wind, second dial and date dial, waist door enhanced with bird's eye maple veneered panel and cross banded veneer, banded veneer repeats at base, applied bracket foot base. With two weights, pendulum and winding key.
