Circa 1970s, made in France, of crescent shape, constructed of brown calfskin throughout, gold tone hardware, small strap closure, open interior with open back slot pocket, stamped in gold "Hermes Paris" and "Made in France for Bonwit Teller." Likely a prototype of the popular "Balle de Golf" Hermes handbag.
