The covered box (5.75 x 4.5 x 1.25 in.) and small plaque (diameter: 3 7/8 in.) are both signed in black calligraphy with two red seals on either side.

"Dream stones" depict scenes from nature from the striations and patterns found in the marble quarried from the Cangshan Mountain Range in the Yunnan Province of China.

Box is in very good condition with normal wear and minor losses to the bottom edges; plaque has large chip with loss.
