A set of five red cinnabar plates with floral lotus blossom scroll design along the edges and depicting in the center of the plates some of the traditional Chinese scholar-official pursuits of drinking tea, reciting poetry, writing calligraphy and painting; together with a small box cinnabar covered box with raised design of a dragon.
