Early 19th century, mid Atlantic, cherry, figured and book matched cherry veneers, white pine and poplar secondary, upper tambour desk with central prospect door and total of eight drawers concealed by tambour doors, hinged fold out writing surface supported by lopers, two long drawers with banded veneer and line inlay border, upper and lower stiles with figured veneer and line inlays, raised on tall square tapered legs with line inlay and lower cuff.

41.75 x 36 x 19 in.

Acquired in Kentucky in the early 1950s by horseman Otto W. Lehmann of Chicago, IL.

Replaced front corner blocks; split, break and repair to left rear leg; later drawer runners; top drawer with six inch board replacement to bottom; currently in good usable estate condition.
