Oil on paper, the first initialed "CM" and depicting a sun drenched white studio (SS 13.5 x 18.75 in.; DOA 22 x 26.25 in.); the second initialed "CEM" and depicting a deserted street (SS 16 x 13 7/8 in.; DOA 24.25 x 21.25 in.). Each in matching frames.

A prolific and respected illustrator, Martin's work appeared in Time and Life magazines, Harper's, The Saturday Evening Post, The Saturday Review, Punch and Esquire as well as The New Yorker. His work was exhibited at various galleries and at the Brooklyn Museum. He is represented in the permanent collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Museum of the City of New York, Library of Congress and at Syracuse University.

No apparent condition concerns, not examined out of the frame.
