Japanese Meiji Period Kutani Style Vase

Meiji period (1868-1912), porcelain, has a "fuku" red mark on the underside of the base often seen in Edo and Meiji periods, the decoration has green, pink, blue and gilt decoration, large medallions on either side feature figures in classical court wear and on the other side wisteria and peony blossoms, the flower of the imperial family, the chrysanthemum, is shown decorating the base and neck of the vase.

H: 14 in.

Good condition with some rubbing and loss to the gilding and pigments.
