19th century, Tibetan or Nepalese, elaborate wooden frame set with turquoise, agate and probably rubies in the corners, elaborate filigree work throughout and around central opening.

Given to Stewart Edwards by the Royal family of Nepal for his service and friendship in the late 1950s.

Wood on frame border is damaged and lost on the bottom corner and around the top edge; the original jewels are all still fitted in the frame except for a two small pieces of turquoise that have been lost.
