19th century, Philippines, the first carved from hardwood with scattered paint traces, (hairline near top of boot; missing left arm, several holes to the wood slice base) (HOA 13.75 in.); the second is modeled having the saint with the dog, primitively carved and decorated, in some areas, with multiple layers of paint (missing hat and right arm and both feet; flaking, chipping paint; dog with paint loss and lacking one front leg); on a simple butt joined and nailed box base (HOA 19.75 in.).
