19th century or earlier, Continental, gesso over plaster, wearing flowing gown and cloak, the saint is posed traditionally with her eyes on a plate, the right hand outstretched would be holding a palm frond or a dagger (now missing), raised on a decorated base.

St. Lucy was an early Christian who made a vow to remain celibate for God. Martyred by the sword, later narratives include self-mutilation of her eyes to discourage suitors.
