19th century, polychrome and gilt over gesso on a wood panel, the scene depicts Samuna, Guria and Habib, Christians of Syrian Edessa killed during the early 4th century. The verso is affixed with a brass gallery plate naming the subjects and also carries a Lithuanian export label.
