Late 17th - late 19th century, the collection opens with two octavo plates from the German edition of Mallet's geography, circa 1686, in which a pair of Indians are depicted in the first engraving while the second one is a map of the Chesapeake Bay region naming Jamestown. Subsequent prints include named locales, notable architecture and portraits of statesmen.
