Alyce Rothlein studied at the Pratt Institute, the Brooklyn Museum School, the Art Students League, and Syracuse University. Morris Kantor was among her most influential instructors, as evidenced by this painting. During the Kennedy administration she was selected to participate in a new artistic venture with nuclear scientists, leading to her "Atomic Sculptures."
