Early 19th century, Piedmont region, walnut, yellow pine secondary, dovetailed case featuring light wood line inlay and quarter fans, breadboard end hinged lid, interior with paneled prospect door and flanked by two drawers to each side which is divided by a horizontal wide reeded band, two side by side drawers above two graduated drawers, raised on original bracket foot with signature double comma spurs.

11 in. patch and repair to top by central escutcheon; replaced brass hardware; original right front foot with two hairline cracks and front comma re-attached; original back left brace to rear front foot re-attached.
