First is a circular form tortoise shell patch box, likely French, late 18th century, the removable cover with hand-painted ivory mythological scene, with gilt metal filet (1.25 x 3 3/8 in.) (chipping to tortoise shell box, glass cover loose, some flaking to edge of miniature painting); the second a rectangular form Continental silver box with hinged lid, with faux malachite enameled top and inset with a miniature painting on ivory of two ladies in court dress and musician, the sides and bottom of box with engraved and foliate scroll design, gilt interior (2.25 x 3 in.) (no apparent condition concerns); the third a Meissen lidded dresser box, circular form with applied hand-painted flowers and insects with bold cobalt Meissen crossed swords mark to base (1.5 x 2 in.) (breaks to leaves).
