Continental, 19th century, a drum form clock with Roman numerals, works by Dent of London, rests atop the back of a hollow formed rooster with inscribed feather decoration to body and enameling to head, neck and tail, inset with likely ruby eyes, the hinged wings encrusted with what appears to be faceted hand cut pigeon blood rubies, modeled clasping a silver worm under one claw, the rooster stands on a square stepped base with inset lapis lazuli top and base decorated with inscribed and multi-colored enameled fruit and floral design; marked 900 silver with unidentified hallmark.
