Antique with marble shelf, figured tile pilasters of artisans and frieze in blue and ivory with gilt moldings; over-mantel of carved wood finished in blue and gold with Rococo style painting on canvas of seven cupids; hand-forged iron Chinqua Penn floral decorated fireplace doors and marble fireplace hearth including a pair of classical 19th century style French andirons with pine cone finials. The Penns purchased the mantel in Rome on their trip to Europe in 1925.
