Of natural cotton and wool in colors of red, green, and blue, two loom widths with center seam, two corner blocks signed "Wov by / Josiah / Slaybaugh / Kosciusko / County / Indiana / 1863." Josiah Slaybaugh (b. 1825, PA) and was an active weaver from 1848-1878 in Ohio and Indiana.

Accompanied by note stating, "The material in this bedspread was carded, spun and dyed by Mrs. John-Elizabeth Hepler-Coil, maternal grandmother of Mrs. Floyd V. Jones, 906 W. York, Enid, Okla."
