Louis XVI Trumeau and Console Table

Late 18th century, the wall mount table of putty color painted pine with parcel gilt highlights, the frieze having stop-fluted decoration cornered by inset carved floral blocks, the two tapered legs also with stop-fluting and terminating in ball feet, the table is surmounted by a colorful marble top with molded edge (31.5 x 20 x 13.5 in.). The trumeau features an inset oil on canvas landscape of a castle before distant mountain peaks and a lower mirrored panel, the base of the trumeau decorated with parcel gilt fluting conforming to the console (72 x 29 in.)
