One of the most important American fashion designers of the 20th century, William Travilla was particularly known for creating some of the most important costumes in film, including the majority of Marilyn Monroe's on screen wardrobe. This particular design is a wonderful example of Mr. Travilla's two piece ensembles which, when worn, appear to be one long dress. This technique was used by Mr. Travilla, including the infamous pink bow dress Marilyn Monroe wears while singing "Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend" in "Gentleman Prefer Blondes".

In excellent condition.
