The first titled "Billingsgate," signed and dated 1859 in the plate, etching and drypoint on Japan paper, later pencil inscriptions along lower edge of sheet, likely eighth state (Plate 6 x 9 in.; Paper 8 x 10.75 in.) (scattered foxing, toning, glue to top corners, loss to top right corner); the second titled "Sketching," etching and drypoint on wove paper, signed twice in the plate and with printing information along lower margin, fifth state (Plate 4 5/8 x 6.5 in; Paper 6.5 x 9.25 in.) (extensive foxing).
