The strings are in very good condition with an unusually vibrant bass section and the soundboard appears to be crack free which is unusual for a Steinway of this vintage. The condition of the action is well above average with a higher then normal touch-weight (the effort required to play the note) and is ready for some fairly expensive work which would include replacing some of the parts.
