Circa 1803 - 1820, curved blade with double fuller, iron bird's head pommel, pierced guard and scabbard with attachment stud.

Most extant swords of this type were shortened in 1861 for Confederate usage. This one, however, is all original as issued in the very early 19th century.

Untouched attic condition with moderate rusting throughout; missing wooden grips; small area of loss to each side of the scabbard.
