Collection of Mary Jo & Dick Bell, founders of Garden Gallery and the Water Garden, Raleigh, NC

Born in Worcester, Massachusetts in 1945, Laura Grosch has long called North Carolina home. She has exhibited extensively throughout the state in galleries and museums, including the Greenhill Center for North Carolina Art and the Mint Museum. Her works are in over 50 public collections including the Asheville Art Museum (NC), Beloit College (WI), Boston Public Library (MA), Bowdoin College (ME), the British Museum (England), the Brooklyn Museum (NY), California State University, Cameron Art Museum (NC), the Hunt Institute for Botanical Documentation at Carnegie Mellon University (PA), Cheekwood Fien Arts Center (TN), and many more! Both she and her husband, Herb Jackson, have been instrumental in the North Carolina arts scene. Dick believes that Laura did this triptych as an ode to Georgia O'Keefe. A conversation with the artist reveals that she was inspired to paint this triptych after seeing the flower ladies on Franklin Street in Chapel Hill.
