The first a watercolor on ivory of a mother with her children, housed in likely original painted frame (SS 3 x 2.5 in.; DOA 6 1/8 x 5 in.), (ivory has been laid on card); the second a watercolor on ivory of a matron wearing a flower adorned bonnet, sitter identified en verso as Mrs. Elizabeth Cook and dated August 24, 1824, housed in ornate gilt and gesso frame (SS 3 x 2.25 in.; DOA 7 x 6.5).

The first, mother with children, with spilt to ivory in the far right edge. The second, of a matronly woman, has some watercolor loss to left middle edge; frame with loss.
