Partial set including six figures from Leonard's "Jeu de l'Žcharpe" ("The Scarf Dance"), three figures bear the impressed mark for Heubach Bros. and the remaining three are unmarked, all circa 1900, bisque porcelain.

Formerly from the Collection of the Wife of a Pittsburg Industrialist

Inspired by the American dancer Lo•e Fuller, Leonard designed a suite of fifteen figures for Sevres in 1898. The suite was exhibited at the Paris 1900 Exhibition, for which Sevres won a Grand Prix. So popular were the sculptures that the were made in numerous sizes in both porcelain and bronze by Sevres and other fine porcelain manufacturers. Very rare to find even a partial set.

One figure with repaired break to head and large flake to underside of skirt; many figures with loss to finger tips and staining to bodies.
