The first a Peruvian Naza polychrome ceramic bowl with rounded base, the sides decorated with a fanciful creature (7 in. diameter) (two small chips to the base; an old repair appears to have re-attached 6 in. fragment to one side); the second a copper axe from Ecuador, possibly circa 750 - 1200 A. D. (4.75 in.) (nice patina with a few spots of verdigris).

The collection of a retired U. S. Foreign Service officer; the axe with a 1982 receipt from Holbrook Antique Arts of Santa Fe, NM.
