Circa 1760-75, Wilmington, North Carolina, mahogany, circular flat three board top, baluster and ring turned standard, raised tripod base ending in snake feet.

Estate of Elizabeth Jocelyn Jewett Tolar of Wilmington , granddaughter of Mary Wright Giles and John D. Bellamy II, and direct descendent of Judge Joshua Wright, Samuel Jocelyn, Dr. John D. Bellamy, and William Giles, and several other Wilmington’s founding families.

Descended from Judge Joshua G. Wright (1765-1811), who purchased the circa 1770 John Burgwin House, located at 224 Market Street, Wilmington, NC, in 1799. The house is now known as the Burgwin-Wright House.

Exhibited: St. John Museum of Art and Historic Wilmington Foundation, Wilmington, NC, November 3 - December 30, 1989.
