18th century, walnut with fruitwood veneers, two-part form, the upper section with architectural cornice and asymmetrical cartouche, shelved interior, bottom section with slant lid which encloses a handsome stepped interior and writing surface with well, raised on curved block form front feet, ogee rear feet.
