Mid-19th century, constructed of laminated rosewood attributed to Charles Baudoine, New York, high back form with ornately carved and pierced floral crests to the triple backs, curved arms, over-upholstered seat, cabriole legs.

49 x 80 x 30 in.

Charles Baudoine (1808-1895) was a successful cabinet maker who lived and worked in the Manhattan area. Similar examples are in the collections of the Art Institute of Chicago and the Brooklyn Museum.

Central crest loss to left scroll; break and repair to right joint; left high-side chair back with chip to floral crest.
