Later pen inscription on paper backing reads, "Mr. Atkinson / G. Atkinson Brighton / Profilist to Geo III." (SS 3.25 x 2.5 in.; DOA 5.5 x 4.5 in.); the second signed "MHA 52" under bustline and sitter identified lower center as "Doctor Jimmy." (SS 3.5 x 2.75 in.; DOA 5 x 4.25).
