NC State Flag Flown to the Moon by Apollo XIV

January 31 - February 5, 1971, mounted in a wooden frame with an Apollo XIV patch, facsimiles of crew member's signatures appear below a statement that the flag was on the historic lunar flight. An additional statement indicates the flag was presented at the National Governors' Conference in Houston, Texas, June 1972. Bob Scott, then North Carolina's governor, would have been the flag's recipient. Governor Scott's copy of the book APOLLO XII and a First Day of Issue commemorative stamp presentation honoring the 1969 lunar landing are included here.
