29.5 in. blade etched with vines, having "W I McElroy & Co / Macon Ga" on the right side and an Old English "C.S" on the left side, pierced brass guard cast with crude wreath designs on the quillon and pommel, wooden grip wrapped in leather and secured by wire. The sword comes with its original stitched leather scabbard mounted with brass throat, rings, central band and drag.

Original attic condition; all brass elements with mellow old toning punctuated by a few spots of green verdigris; the grip's leather and wire wraps are intact; the blade's finish is intact, however demonstrates substantial areas of rusting; the scabbard's leather is moderately crazed without being overly dry; an old leather break in the middle has been nicely repaired.
