As follows: THE ILIAD OF HOMER (London: Bernard Lintott, 1718 - 1721) in six volumes variously from the 1st and 2nd editions, translated by "Mr. Pope," 6.25 x 4 in., calf covers with tooled gilt borders, marbleized endpapers, owner-inscribed by George W. Roper, 1843. Both covers dis-bound on Vol. VI; front cover dis-bound on Vol. V; binding otherwise tight; even internal toning; expected wear to covers. Overall good condition; Melmouth, William, THE LETTERS OF MARCUS TULLIUS CICERO, (London: R. Dodsley, 1753), in three volumes, octavo (8.25 x 5.25 in.), calf covers, raised bands on the spine. Wear to covers; titles on spine remain crisp; internally clean with light, even toning. Very good condition.
