She and her husband, Robert, traveled extensively throughout Hong Kong, Africa, India, and elsewhere during the 1950s and 1960s. A life-long collector of fine art and antiques, she served as a docent at the Ringling Museum in Sarasota, sharing her knowledge and enthusiasm with the public.
