WWII German Helmet and Airman's Cap

The helmet an M40 with appropriate liner, the interior rim stamped ET64 and batch number 4851, gray-green paint with reproduction decals. Areas of smooth brown rusting to the shell; the Luftwaffe cap is of gray wool and sports a stitched eagle/swastika emblem over a German roundel. Wear as expected with some fraying to the liner. Included is a snapshot of four German officers, one of whom is reportedly the owner of this cap.

Verbal history has it that the Luftwaffe cap was given to an American pilot in 1945.
