19th century, plated steel accented with brass furniture, both items faced with a sunburst device. The crested helmet has leather remnants on the visor's underside; the breastplate of the cuirass is stamped "II" on the right shoulder while the backplate is stamped "IV." on the left shoulder.
Crazing and splits to the cuirass straps; replacement leather on the helmet's chinstrap; exterior metal surfaces on both items are cleaned and burnished.
