British Victorian Artillery Uniform Grouping

19th century, (10) items, likely Indian service, to include: Pillbox cap, underside marked by Wm. Anderson & Sons, Edinburgh. Soiling, leather chinstrap split; Visor cap, mostly illegible label, but "Edinburgh" is clear. The silk lining is heavily fractured, the exterior lightly soiled with crazing to leather elements; Belt pouch, affixed with an adjustable strap having a gilt brass buckle terminating in two lions' heads, the pouch's flap adorned with the British coat-of-arms in heavy bullion brocade supporting a stamped brass cannon device. 4 x 6.5 in. less strap. Light crazing to the leather, which remains somewhat pliable; Field glasses case, leather with brass elements including attachment loops, a finial and a cannon device. The interior is lined with purple velvet. 4.75 x 6 in. Overall crazing to the leather; Crimson short tunic and vest by Simmons, Covent Gardens with brass ball buttons and bullion cords on the front, quatrefoil braid on the sleeves. Overall soiling, fracturing to the vest's silk lining; Officer's field tunic, William Anderson & Sons / Edinburgh label, dark blue wool with (15) artillery buttons, crimson collar with bullion brocade, bullion quatrefoil insignia on sleeves. Light soiling with isolated points of wear; Uniform consisting of short blue tunic, no maker's label, gold brocade facing with ball buttons, crimson collar trim with flaming bomb insignia; matching trousers, crimson vest with brocade and ball buttons. "Hope," likely the owner's name, is stitched to the vest's lining. Overall light soiling, some minor splits and areas of fractured silk.
