The first a fish slice with London (1837) hallmarks and "WE" sponsor's mark (William Eaton), monogrammed "J.W.," ornately pierced blade engraved on the verso "Presented by the Members of the Coates Amicable Society to Mr. Josh. Waddelow, as a token of their gratitude for his interest in the welfare of the Club October 17th, 1839" (11.5 in.; 4.15 troy oz.); the second a circular salver with gadrooned edge raised on three applied scroll feet, the center engraved "Presented to the Revd. Francis Russell Nixon B.A. by the Inhabitats and Visitors of Sandgate November 1838.," with London (1838) hallmarks and "BP" sponsor's mark (0.75 x 7.25 in., 7.55 troy oz.).
