Watercolor on ivory of brother and sister, the sister with fine detail depicting curls beneath a white bonnet adorned with blue ribbon, a matching blue bow with her collar adorned with a brooch and lace; a backing likely original to the painting is inscribed with the sitter identified as "Edna Currie Feb 1829": her brother with crisp detail to his thick brown tousled hair and waist coat and high white collar, paper label backing reads "John (illegible middle name) Currie / Born Feb 24th 1804 / (illegible) / taken January 22, 1824 / presented to his sister P.L. (Hart or Heit possibly) / as a momento of one / who will be ever honored / to be ranked in the / number of her / sincere friends." Housed in likely original sandpaper textured gold metal frame mounted on wood; with decorative finials and corner rosettes.
