Perth, Scotland, active 1820s - 1840s, mahogany and mahogany veneers with stringwood inlay throughout, brass time and strike movement, tin dial with maker's name embellished by a painting of "The King's Welcome to Scotland" above personifications of Scotland, England, Ireland and Wales, the pendulum's weight painted with a sailing ship, a shaped waist door with ivory keyhole escutcheon is flanked by light and dark wood quarter-columns, horizontal satinwood panel above, hood with broken arch pediment, columns mimicking stopped fluting, the whole resting on a shaped skirt with bracket feet. Pendulum with painted ship.
