Meiji period, ovoid tapered form with high collar, finely decorated with Ho-ho bird medallions above a scrolled cobalt banding at the shoulder, over variant tapestry ground, alternating panels depicting figures in a garden setting with floral urns. Bottom marked "Nippon" with remains of old paper export label.
